BROCCOLI SALAD
2 bunches of broccoli - cut into bite-sized pieces
2 medium red onions - thinly sliced
1/4 cup raisins
8 slices bacon - fried and crumbled
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
Mix
broccoli, onions, raisins and bacon together gently. Blend
mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar thoroughly. Fold dressing into
vegetable mixture and refrigerate 1-2 hours before serving.
VARIATIONS:
-Sprinkle finished salad with 1 cup shredded cheese.
-Add 1/2 pound fresh, sliced mushrooms to salad.
-Substitute 1/2 cup shredded purple cabbage in place of onions.
